SEVEN THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE YOU CRUISE

SEVEN THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE YOU CRUISE.

While having conversation with Travel Partners, I realised that they were loaded with so many questions about what could happen on the cruise.

Here are some tips to know before you take your very first cruise.

Seas the day.

1)WHAT DO I PACK!?!?

Well, most cruises have a very casual atmosphere. So, all I would carry are bathing suits. Just kidding! A few dresses and comfortable outfits for our evening dinner and events. Gym clothes and shoes in case you need to burn those calories after eating all that amazing food onboard. The key is to travel light, so you don’t need to pay extra cost at the airport or just carry unnecessary luggage and if you’re a shopaholic, you could bring more clothes back! Roll light!

2) IT IS MORE RELAXING THAN YOU THINK!

Just imagine going across countries with all that luggage and unpacking only once. Imagine… I’m waiting… because that’s all you must do. Unpack once. No hopping from one restaurant to another cause it’s all on board. The thought of sitting in my balcony, with a cup of coffee, listening to the waves, watching the sunset, what more do you need?

3) YOU’RE NOT AT SEA ALL THE TIME!

Rumour has it that cruising is you’re perpetually at sea, which is not true. Every Cruise line stops every other day at different ports, so you could go out and explore the cities. Imagine you have a wonderful day at sea, jumped into the pool, ate good food, attended the evening events, went to bed and woke up in a totally different place! I’ll leave you to it!

4) CHILDREN HAVE THE TIME OF THEIR LIVES AND IT’S THE BEST GET-AWAY FOR ADULTS!

The biggest fear is ‘’ Are the kids going to get bored halfway?’’. The multiple and wide variety of activities on board will make them feel like their vacation got over too quick. From the aqua parks to the laser tag and race track which is onboard Norwegian Cruise Line, they would want to extend their holiday, surely. There is no such thing as ‘Boredom’ when it comes to cruising.

I’m sure after months of hard work, everybody needs to go on vacation. Cruising should be on every adult’s bucket list as it is the next big thing! Literally! It is a mixture of relaxation and adventure or it could be either one. Your choice! You will get those long-awaited body massages, you will go dancing to night clubs on board, you will fine dine and sip some classic wine.

5) IT IS WAY BETTER THAN LAND HOLIDAYS!

Once you’ve taken a cruise you will just not want to go back to going on land holidays all because of how it is all included. You have delicious food, comfortable staterooms/suites, entertainment like there is no tomorrow and you even get to explore different destinations every day. So, I would really want to know what else makes a cruise better than a land holiday.

6) CRUISING DOESN’T STOP AT THE OCEAN!

Introducing to you the concept of River Cruising. If you want to see the interiors of destinations via boutique ships that explore places that Ocean Cruises cannot go to, you have a winner! River Cruising is so luxurious and so much fun at the same time. Imagine you telling your friends you visited the great Amazon River via Aqua Expeditions! They would be curious to know what it is like swimming with pink dolphins. You could also pull off a Romeo and Juliet with Scenic River cruising and sail through the beautiful Danube and Rhine River. So Romantic!

7) THE MOST IMPORTANT OF ALL: FOOD!

Are you concerned that you will not get your Vegan or Vegetarian food on board? We do cater to all of your needs! Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas Cruises stock fresh food at mostly every port, so the worry of getting stale food never arises. We also put in request for guest with any kind of food allergies. So, don’t worry. Go on a special sea-food diet. See food and eat it.
